Retail Starter Kit
This documentation set is for operators and technical teams setting up the RFID starter kit for a retail store: a desktop RFID reader for the checkout counter, and a handheld Bluetooth RFID reader for mobile counting. Both devices read UHF RFID tags under the EPC Class 1 Gen 2 standard and communicate with host software; neither stores or processes business data on its own.

Both devices use the EPC Class 1 Gen 2 (ISO/IEC 18000-6C) tag standard and can work together in the same retail workflow: the desktop reader handles counter transactions, the handheld scanner handles counts and shelf lookups.
